10 Beautiful Travel Words To Add To Your Vocabulary

Travel words. There’s nothing more satisfying than finding new beautiful travel words that perfectly embody an emotion I am trying to convey.  Are you a lover of rain? Pluviophile. Are you a woman who emphasizes a life of passion? Quaintrelle. Being a traveller and a self proclaimed writer I always find myself searching for new and beautiful words. I mean that’s how Fernweh came to be! I went on the hunt for the perfect word to describe my love of travel; that word that would grasp that ache I feel for places I haven’t even been too. I can always thank lovely Pinterest for helping me in my search for beautiful travel words but it never hurts to have all my favourites compiled into one post! Let’s start with my favourite!

The 10 Most Beautiful Travel Words

An ache for distant places; the craving for travel

a great desire to travel and roam about

A person of leisure, deliberately aimless, simply wandering the streets and soaking up the city

The cozy feeling you get when you’re enjoying the good things in life with friends

The contented happy state we feel when we travel

Love of darkness or night. Finding relaxation or comfort in the darkness

A desire to alter your life, the feeling that pushes you to travel

The love that remains; a desire to be near someone or something distant

The freedom of being alone; the ability to do what you want

The realization every person is living their own vivid life
