When Aaron and I decided to spend 24 hours in Milan I didn’t really grasp how fast time would go! Since I was only in Milano for a short amount of time I only had time to see the “musts” or I would have missed my train to Venice! Did you guys know it’s only 2-3 hours to train from Milan to Venice? Anywho.. While Milan is a large city it is a perfect city for a quick layover. All you have to do is take the metro to Duomo Station and once you’re out you can’t miss the gorgeous cathedral before you!
I can’t remember when it was I became obsessed with this cathedral but once I laid my eyes on it I knew why it had been burned into my mind. It is stunning in every sense.

With only 24 hours in Milan there wasn’t a whole lot to do besides explore the Duomo area. Here you will find all the shopping you need! It was a fashionistas heaven.
For a healthy lunch we found a place called Eat&Go where I got the vegan “salad.” I think it was just warmed up vegetables with barley but it was tasty! I was actually pleasantly surprised at all the vegan and vegetarian friendly places in Milan. Sometimes you just need some veggies in your life! Unlike some other European countries where finding dairy free options is next to impossible.. Milan had plenty of options! I think it’s because it’s the fashion capital of Italy so there are lots of models and more health conscious people. Whatever the case I loved it! Happy tummy equals happy me.
No sooner did we get there though, did we have to be on a train to Venice! It’s kind of fun being really busy while travelling. Makes you want to hustle 😛
Have you been to Milan? What would you recommend?
