A Chocolatey Welcome At TRB Bites In Beijing (plus free champagne!)

If good food, amazing service and a gorgeous view is something you’re interested in on you Beijing adventure than look no further and TRB Bites! After much research (scrolling through Instagram (add me here!)) I found this cute place called TRB Bites just outside of the Forbidden City.

TRB Bites

You’ll find TRB Bites in the Dongcheng District with a little sign that says “Love Bites.” The menu is set but you can pick and choose three items for your meal. Prices start around 300 Yuan (about $60) but don’t let that scare you! That is super reasonable for the service and care you will experience. If it is a steep price for you you can always split a meal with someone 🙂

We were welcomed with a glass Beijing Champagne, on the house, and were quickly seated. Be sure to make a reservation if you would like to sit by the window to get an very lovely view of the Forbidden Cities wall and moat. Beijing a couple of awkward Canadians we felt like we walked into a refined oasis in the chaos of Beijing.

The servers are always on hand and are always sure to fill up your water glass. For vegetarians simply let your server know and they will whip something up for you! After you order you are given little appetizers on the house to enjoy and they left the meat out for me. They then made me a customized little jar of cucumber soup which I wasn’t a huge fan of (cold soup) but I was blown away at how accommodating they were.

You are also given a loaf of warm homemade bread. It is unlimited, just ask for more if you need, and it is served with butter and their house made paprika butter (have I enticed you yet?).

After you appetizer will come and then your main and then your dessert. They made me a customized pumpkin pasta from scratch since it was only on their weekend menu. After we had banana bread budding which was amazingggg. As a welcome gift to Beijing we were given a small chocolate cake which was such an amazing touch to our first day in Beijing! So you see the price you pay for your 3 course meal is really small when you consider your service, your champagne, the appies, the care and the chocolate welcome cake!

After allllll of this they then asked for a photo of us and surprised us with a printed version at the end of our meal! How cute and over the top?! If you want a few hours of being lush and fancy then come here for lunch or afternoon tea! I would recommend anyone in Beijing visit TRB Bites as a little treat in such a golden city.
