Situated in the Rocky Mountains, Banff Boutique Inn is a tranquil getaway for anyone journeying to the slopes or hiking trails of the beautiful national park. Aaron and I were so excited to finally head out to Banff. We live so close so it’s silly we don’t spend more time out there. After much searching for places to stay we decided to hunker down at this cute little inn!
This boutique in is so conveniently located. It’s a 5 minute walk from Banff Town Center and a 1 minute drive from the Caven Basin, a underwater hot spring fathering the creation of the national park. This places is just far enough away from town that you didn’t have any lights or noises to bother you throughout the night, but also close enough for you to walk into town and grab some delicious local food.
The bed and breakfast itself had all the quirks of home. Walking in you are warmly welcomed by the staff and are ushered into sit down while they sort out your rooms. The kitchen is fully equipped but guest are only allowed to use the microwave and refrigerators as no one wants to have a guest start a fire by accident. As it happened the girls that work there are fans of baking so we were greeted with fresh cookies right out of the oven! They were made with seeds, oats, honey and chocolate. Already this place felt like a little cabin home in the mountains.
In the mornings you are given a mountain breakfast which consists of fresh bread from a Banff bakery as well as eggs, yogurt, granola, fruit, coffee, tea, juices and what ever else baking they have done. Breakfast is from 7-9:30 as most people are waking up at this time to spend a full day skiing and snowboarding. It was a simple but hearty mountain breakfast.
Since the Inn is so small it only holds about 25 people at a time giving you a private, more quant feel since most places are crawling with people during the high seasons. They offer complimentary wifi, high ceilings, rooms with jet tubs, mountain views and you have an electric fire place to complete the cabiny ambiance. Guest are welcome to play games or just hang out in the communal dining room.
If you are ever in the mountains looking for a quiet place to stay after a day in the alpines then Banff Boutique Inn is your place to go. They provide a clean and relaxing environment with the added perk of being walking distance from Banff City Centre.
