If any of you have been reading my blog for a while you’ll know I prefer skincare over makeup. In my mid twenties I know just how important it is to maintain your skins health and elasticity so I am always open to trying new skincare products. I won’t get wrinkles if I have something to say about it haha.
A few weeks ago I had the chance to try out a new Canadian Korean skincare brand called Belif and they are quickly becoming my favourite. Using only quality herbs and ingredients, the brand has created a vast range of products to fit your skincare needs. They have no synthetic preservatives, dyes, fragrances, mineral oil or animal ingredients in their products which is something I always look for. People like to sneak nasty cheap ingredients in skincare products so you really need to read the label.
I got to try 6 products that were matched to my skin type – oily combination. My t-zone is the problem area, collecting grease and such, but I’ll get some problem breakouts around my cheeks from hormones. I have been using the products for about 3 weeks now and I got to say I’m loving it.
My skin is bright and fresh and dewy which is just what you want for spring. Out of all the products I am absolutely obsessed with the True Cream Aqua Bomb. It’s only 50mls but it is so condensed and feels like a cool gel on my skin. I’ve used it everyday, multiple times a day, and I’ve barely scratched the surface. Something I also love about it is you can take it on planes! It was the only moisturizer I took on my recent trip to Vancouver. I usually bring an arsenal of travel sized products with me but for the weekend this was enough.
I’ve also been loving the First Aid Peel Off Mask. Especially when I’ve hand a few glasses of wine and am not feeling my best.. this mask gently exfoliates and minimizes the look of pours on my skin. It’s made with lemon balm and white willow bark which even sounds like it would be a treat for the skin. It’s also 50mls so you can bring it travelling with you. Definitely wish I had it for my trip to Thailand when I had one to many buckets haha.
The other products I’ve tried are the Bergmot Herbal Toner (so nice for oily skin in the heat!), the crystal Cleansing Foam, the Encriched Cleansing Gel which contains macadamia nut oil, and the Oil Control Moisturizer which I’ve been making Aaron use. He was using coconut oil but he said he loved how this moisturizer felt on his skin.
If you’re looking to switch up your skincare routine for spring/summer I definitely recommend trying Belif. You can visit their page here and check out all of their products. Let me know if you try the brand and how you like it 🙂
