How To Radiate Positivity This Summer

Not long ago I embraced the positive vibes revolution and had started making the conscious effort to stop feeding into the negativity around me. Nothing is more exhausting than negativity. It’s draining. It’s draining, and tiring and it’s all for nothing. Negativity leaves me feeling sad and depressed when there really is no reason to be. Being negative gets you no where in life and honestly just brings down the mood of others around you. Just think of how many times you were in a good mood and then some little turd brought your happiness down. Why they got to do that?


As the saying goes, “Don’t rain on my parade.”


So my friends, I challenge you this summer to be a positive beam of light in this negative world. After all, we get the energy we put out so why not radiate positive energy and attract the right people and things!?



Here are some ways to radiate positivity this summer



Don’t feed into the negativity – The easiest way to radiate positivity this summer is to not feed into the negativity! It’s so easy to feed into these bad vibes and before you know it you’re feeling frustrated and dreary. I believe negativity is contagious – like a cold. And the best way to avoid a cold is to avoid the cause so just do your thing and keep the positive vibes flowin’!

Always look on the bright side – Stuff happens. It’s life. It can’t always be perfect and go the the way we want but we need to stay positive about it! We live on a beautiful planet with so many things to be happy about. We have good books, can travel easily (can you imagine spending months on a boat?), and we have dogs! Dog always look on the bright side.



“Start each day with a grateful heart.”



Wake up and smell the roses – Literally or not literally smell the roses. Start your day off on a positive foot and think about all the things you are grateful for. Think of how comfy your bed is, how delicious your breakfast is going to be, how your hard work is going to pay off. Think of the things that make you happy and don’t let anyone dampen your sparkle!

Enjoy the little things – If we spend our life waiting for the big things we forget to appreciate the little things! And it’s the little things that make the big things. So enjoy the nights out with your friends or those easy nights in. You don’t have to be travelling the world 24/7 in order to lead a happy and adventurous life. Enjoy your favourite scent more, buy yourself that pretty floral dress you’ve had an eye on, have a movie night in with your partner and simply enjoy it!

Treat yourself – I love coffee it’s no secret. I stick to two cups a day during the week so I don’t overdue it on the caffeine but I loveee my coffee with this Silk Vanilla Coffee Creamer. It’s unreal. So on the weekends I treat myself to three coffee (I’m out of control I know) and it really puts me in this zen, relaxed, happy mood when I’m writing. Find something you like and treat yourself more often. Use your favourite face mask, have a little pamper day more frequently, eat a really good cookie or have a nice glass of white wine on a warm summer day. Make yourself happy!

Laugh a lot, smile a lot – It sounds silly because we don’t want to be walking down the street with a goofy grin but let yourself smile more! Watch a cute animal video and smile about it. I’m not shy when it comes to seeing a cute little fluff-ball of happiness do something funny and laugh about it. I bring myself to tears sometimes because laughing changes things! It relieves stress and puts you in that good mood you needed. Don’t be afraid to laugh at yourself because you’re already winning.

    It’s so much easier for me to be positive in the summer because of the sunshine and longer days! Winter is the hard part. I love the beautiful quotes interspersed throughout this post, and your advice to “Find something you like and treat yourself more often.” I love doing face masks and hair masks on Sunday nights, but I find myself doing them only once a month or less. How rude to myself! Now that’s got to change immediately. Lovely post lady!

      Thank you! I feel you Aaron says he thinks I have the “SADs” during the winter because it is so much harder to be positive and happy! Aw haha now you’ll have to start making a date night with yourself weekly or more! Any face masks you recommend? I’m almost out of this rose one I like and can’t decide what to do now! Thanks hun!
