It’s hard being bitten by the travel bug. You spend all day daydreaming about your next adventure and then you spend all night fantasizing about it. While movies won’t cure your wanderlust these movies might help you escape for a few hours! I know I love watching them when I’m in need of a relaxing escape ๐
I know there’s 11 movies on here but “Top 10” sounds better then “Top 11” don’t ya think?
My Top 10 Travel Movies for Wanderluster’s (a.k.a Top 11)
Vicky Cristina Barcelona
A strange but good movie for those daydreaming of escaping
Copenhagen
Albeit a bit moral challenging it’s an interesting watch!

My personal favourite! I would watch this five times a week and still I’m mesmerized at Japans historic beauty and culture
Eat Pray Loveย
Another favourite of mine. Who doesn’t dream of leaving for a year to find yourself!?
Midnight in Parisย
Who doesnt love the idea of being in Paris and having drinks with Ernest Hemingway?

Lost in Translationย
This movie confused me to say the least
Lucy
I’ll admit.. I love Scarlett Johansson and she was amazing in this Taiwan set movie
Bucket List
While I don’t like the term bucket list this movie is definitely a good watch
Marie Antoinetteย
I don’t know if this counts as a travel movie but I love the Parisian vibes to it.. not to mention the amazing outfits

December 19, 2015 at 6:22 amIn Bruges confused me– I watched it hungover on a bus and had to watch it again. I loved the humour the second time around. Lost In Translation is one of my favourite movies. I’ve watched it thousands of time. And The Darjeeling Limited such a great underrated movie! <3

December 21, 2015 at 11:31 pmThat’s funny I’m glad you didn’t get it at first I didn’t either! I watched it with my boyfriend my first time and all he did was laugh (literally tears) and I just kept feeling like I was missing something but got it round two. Same with lost in Translation. They are awesome! :]

July 20, 2015 at 7:29 amDarjeeling Limited – I absolutely loved it! The soundtrack is also amazing, that song “Typewriter tip tip tip…” stuck with me for a few days.
Scarlett Johansson is amazing in every movie I’ve seen her in (so far). I’ll make sure to watch Lucy in the next couple of weeks. ๐

July 15, 2015 at 2:57 pmHey Shelby ๐
I have watched (and loved) over half of these movies! And because I liked them so much, I should probably give the other half a go ;).
Isn’t Memoirs of a Geisha just one of the most stunning movies on the planet? Each time I watch it, it inspires me to my very core! The scenes of the bridge and the cherry trees in full bloom – like a candy world… Ah, maybe I should just re-watch that one right now ;D.

July 11, 2015 at 9:50 amI havent seen many of your top 10/11.
I saw Tracks when I was in Australia. The movie isn’t that amazing but the fact that I was there was just pretty cool and also the moral of the story. Have you seen it yet?
thefernwehwolf
July 12, 2015 at 12:41 pmI haven’t seen Tracks yet the commercials didn’t really sell me on it :p But I know what you mean the main reason why I liked Midnight in Paris was because i got to see all the places I’ve been to which was pretty cool
Thanks for commenting :]
