Red Fish Blue Fish

red fish blue fish red fish blue fish red fish blue fishOne of the must do’s in Victoria is visit Red Fish Blue Fish as they are said to have the best fish n’ chips in town. So naturally, as a foodie, we made our way down to the pier to see what all the fuss was about. They were featured on Eat St. after all.

When we got there the line was long and the sun was hot but the line moved fast and soon we were at the till. I cannot vouch for how amazing the food is because I am a vegetarian and as much as I wanted to try the deep fried pickles I knew I couldn’t because they were probably deep fried in the same grease as the fish but my boyfriend and cousin have both said it was amazing and their fish were perfectly battered in tempura.

Also, even though I fully believe in being a vegetarian, Red Fish Blue Fish carry the badge of Ocean Wise food which means they are an environmentally friendly seafood place where the staff is educated about our waters and are then given the badge by Ocean Wise. I thought that was pretty cool.

“Overfishing is the biggest threat our

oceans face today. The Ocean Wise symbol

next to a seafood item is the Vancouver

Aquarium’s assurance of an

ocean-friendly seafood choice.”
