I am in a very ‘reinvent myself‘ kind of mood lately. So much of a mood that I want to chop off some bangs and get a few new tattoos. Can anyone relate?
As a New Years resolution I made it one of my goals to wear more white. Nothing ground breaking but it’s something I should start doing. And want to do. I have always been one to dress head to toe in black no matter what the occasion. Parties, weddings, hot summer days or chilling Canadian winters – I’m in black. To me it is such a romantic and poetic colour to wear and it’s very flattering. But my closet has been drowning in this singular colour so in my twenties, I think I was time to switch it up with some white. That’s when I stumbled upon this beautiful dress–
I found this dress in Topshop and could not be more in love with it. It hugs the waist perfectly, has a nice open back and a deep v front which I am adoring lately. It also stopped at the prefect length above the knees. I feel like it so hard to find a skirt that isn’t to long or short. I hate that feeling of bending over and having to hold down your backside haha. In this I felt so feminine when the right areas of the dress are exposed. I bought this imagining myself strolling around Paris, baguette in hand, heading to the seine river for a picnic with Aaron. It has that simplistic quality to it.
I paired it with these knee high boots I picked up from Call it Spring. I have always wanted a pair of knees highs that came with a thicker heel so I didn’t break my ankle trying to walk in them. Especially when I live in a frozen wasteland that likes to snow and rain at the same time.
What are some of your resolutions for 2018? I’d love to hear!
